If you’re looking for specific work samples, you should check out the “What I do best” sections. I’ll link to those pages here whenever it’s relevant.
If you want a more granular breakdown of all these jobs, you should download a copy of my CV.

Henning Larsen Architects

August 2018 - December 2020

As an intern at Henning Larsen, I managed our press relations efforts, and interviewed architects about why they like to go to work.

I sat down with partners and directors to find story angles that highlighted a building’s architectural value, while also conveying practical everyday appeal.

My press releases were picked up by publications such as Dezeen, Monocle and Fast Company.

The Copenhagen Post

Copenhagen, Denmark
May 2017 - Ongoing

My first reporting job in Copenhagen came with the CPH Post, the largest English-language newspaper in
Denmark. I started as a features intern, and later became editor of the Arts section.

I still write for the post each summer, leading our coverage of Roskilde Festival.

One time a guy threatened to kill me in the comment section because I gave a Bob Dylan concert a bad review.

Work samples are over in the ‘Journalism’ section.
Key responsibilities:

  • Article idea brainstorming
  • Writing 2-3 weekly articles
  • Proofreading and copyediting

Isthmus Publishing

Madison, Wisconsin, USA
2016 - 2018

I wrote for Isthmus for several years as a contributing freelance journalist. I’d say this work represents me at my strongest as a news reporter and long-form storyteller.

Three of my stories made the cover of Isthmus, which goes out to a readership of 80,000 eager Wisconsinites every week.

You can read some of my stories in the ‘Journalism’ section.
Key responsibilities:

  • Article idea brainstorming
  • Long-form storytelling
  • Local politics coverage
  • Source outreach & interviewing
  • Research and fact-checking
  • Collaborative editing

Nordic Elite Wrestling

Copenhagen, Denmark
December 2021 - Ongoing

This one isn’t a job, but it sure is work.

I co-founded N.E.W. in 2021, after spending 2 years with Copenhagen Championship Wrestling. I genuinely believe pro wrestling to be a beautiful form of performance art, and I’m proud to help grow it here in Copenhagen.

N.E.W. is a creative outlet, but also a big
source of growth in my life. I don’t earn any money doing this, and I don’t really want to. I do it because I love it.

Read more about the wrestling stuff here.
Key responsibilities:

  • Hosting live shows
  • Designing all posters and social media visuals
  • Voiceovers and broadcasting
  • Press outreach & publicity
  • Coordinating external partnerships and promotions
  • Personnel management
  • Directing crew meetings
  • Managing show logistics

The Badger Herald

Madison, Wisconsin, USA
2014 - 2018

This humble student newspaper was where I got my start in journalism.

At different times, I was an arts reporter, a section editor, as well as the director of aerial photography.

I held a paid post as the first editor of an experimental section called Banter, which was meant to push us further into fun, easily-shareable digital content.

I was also in charge of giving the motivational speech at our annual softball game.

Some relevant work samples are over in the ‘Journalism’ section.
Key responsibilities:

  • Authoring 3-5 pieces of weekly content
  • Reporting long-form feature stories
  • Proofreading and copyediting
  • Story research and fact-checking
  • Managing a team of reporters as a section editor
  • Building and planning editorial publication calendar
  • Aerial photography as a Part 107 FAA-licensed commercial drone pilot

Commemorative Air Force

Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
2013 - 2015

This was ages ago, but I’m including it because I’m proud of it and it made me happy.

I really love airplanes, so I volunteered with the CAF, which restores and displays old military aircraft. As a museum guide, I was able to share my own passions with just about everybody who came to visit.

You can check out the CAF South St. Paul Wing’s website right here.
Key responsibilities:

  • Most enthusiastic museum guide
  • Designing pamphlets & flyers
  • Assisting with restoration of vintage aircraft
  • Accompanying aircraft and crew to display during airshows
  • Helping set up and engage visitors during said airshows
  • Knowing an abnormal amount about the North American B-25J Mitchell

I also worked at two ice cream shops and was a lifeguard as a teenager.
But I feel like people don’t usually put those sorts of things on their websites
